Open Borders: The Freedom to Cross International Boundaries

Open Borders Day is an annual celebration of the freedom of movement across international borders that started in 2014. This year, the Open Borders movement has organized a series of talks in cities across America. In Washington, D.C., America’s Future Foundation will host a debate between Bryan Caplan and immigration critic Mark Krikorian. At San Francisco’s Green Arcade bookstore, Tanya Golash-Boza will read from her new book, Deported: Policing Immigrants, Disposable Labor and Global Capitalism published by New York University Press. In Boston, Harvard economists Jeffrey Miron and Lant Pritchett will discuss migration liberalization on March 9, a week earlier than other events. Other talks will be announced as details become available.

All events are open to the public and free of charge. For event details, please click here. For links to websites that discuss arguments for and against open borders, please consult the “about” page.
